The 26/27 Snowboard Wall: Drake, Northwave, Endeavor, Nobaday, SP and FIX
Who makes the snowboards, boots and bindings on our wall this winter, from Italy's Northwave and Drake to Vancouver's rider-owned Endeavor, and how to put a set-up together.
This winter's snowboard wall brings together boots, bindings and boards from six brands. Here is who makes what, and the order we suggest for putting a set-up together.
Northwave and Drake
Northwave began in 1971, when Gianni Piva founded a company in Montebelluna, Italy, that made ski-boot liners; in 1997 it bought the Italian binding maker Drake. Most of the 26/27 Northwave boots close with SL.AM, Northwave's speed-lace system: pull to tighten, twist to release. The Decade and Freedom also come in wide versions. Drake makes the bindings and snowboards. Shop Northwave and Drake.
Endeavor
Started in Vancouver in 2002 by pro snowboarder Max Jenke, Endeavor is still rider-owned and family-run, and has been a Certified B Corp since 2022. We carry its Pioneer, Live, BOD, Scout and Ranger boards for men and women. More about Endeavor.
Nobaday
The name comes from "No Bad Days", and the brand says its roots are in Seattle. It covers the whole kit: boards, including the Max Parrot Signature, boots, bindings, outerwear and the Grom range for kids. More about Nobaday.
SP
SP started as Snow Pro in Germany in 1987 and has been based in Vienna since the mid-1990s. Its FASTEC bindings work two ways: slide in from the back, or use the straps like a classic binding. Our 26/27 range is the Base+, Core and Team. More about SP.
FIX
FIX Binding Co. is rider-owned and independent. We carry its Block 3, Block 5 and Block 7 bindings and the women's Sunset. More about FIX.
Putting a set-up together
Choose boots first, because binding sizes follow boot sizes. Then pick the board: our snowboard sizing guide covers length by height and weight and when your boots need a wide board, and Find my length gives you a range in a few seconds. Browse snowboards, boots and bindings.
