These size charts for skis, snowboards, ski and snowboard boots, helmets and clothing use the same rules as our Find my length, Find my boot size and Find my helmet size tools. Each chart gives a starting point; a fitter in our Richmond Hill, Newmarket or Ottawa store confirms it with the gear in hand. Brand charts on product pages take priority when they differ.

Board width matters as much as length. Your boots should reach the edges without hanging far over them, or your toes and heels drag in turns.
| Snowboard boot size | Board width |
|---|---|
| Up to US men’s 10 (Mondo 28), and most women’s sizes | Regular width |
| US men’s 10.5 (Mondo 28.5) | Regular or mid-wide, depending on the board and your binding angles |
| US men’s 11 and up (Mondo 29 and up) | Wide, marked W after the length (for example 158W) |

Mondopoint, or Mondo, is your foot length in centimetres. Measure your longer foot from heel to the tip of the longest toe, standing, and round up to the next half size. The conversions below are the ones our boot finder uses; brands can differ by half a size.

Wrap a soft tape measure around your head just above the eyebrows and ears, level all round, and read the number in centimetres. Between two sizes, take the smaller one: the pads settle in.

For jackets, pants and bibs, start from your weight, then adjust for height and layers. This is the rule our product pages use to suggest a size.

| Under 52 kg (under 115 lb) | XS |
| 52–61 kg (115–136 lb) | S |
| 62–71 kg (137–158 lb) | M |
| 72–83 kg (159–184 lb) | L |
| 84 kg and over (185 lb and over) | XL |
Brand differences. Some of our outerwear brands, such as Vector, POMT, Gainax, YEYEPOP and RAUO, use Asian sizing, which usually runs smaller than North American sizing. Their product pages say so and include the brand chart in centimetres; compare your height and chest to that chart instead of your usual letter size. Exchanges for another size are free within 14 days at any store.
For young skiers, length starts from height. Beginners ski shorter, around chin height; confident skiers go longer, toward the nose.

Kids’ ski and snowboard boots use the same Mondo sizing: foot length in centimetres. Buy for the foot your child has now, with no more than about one Mondo size (1 cm) of growing room. Bigger boots let the heel lift and make turning harder. Kids’ boot fitting is free with boots bought from us.
Measure the same way as adults. Most kids’ helmets come in XS or S (about 49–55 cm). Buy the size that fits today; a helmet is not something to grow into.
Many kids’ jackets and pants are sized by body height in centimetres. For example, Vector kids’ sizes:
| Size | Height (cm) | Height (ft) | Weight (kg) | Weight (lb) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 120 | 115–125 | 3′9″–4′1″ | 20–30 | 44–66 |

Other brands use letter or age sizes; their charts are on each product page. More on sizing kids for the season: How much room to grow. Shop kids’ ski and snowboard gear.

For skis and snowboards, go shorter if you are learning and longer if you ski fast or in powder. For helmets, take the smaller size. For clothing, take the bigger size if you wear a fleece underneath.
