Questions fréquentes
Ajusteurs BorderlineOur Find my length tool starts from your height: intermediates about 8 cm under their height and advanced skiers about 3 cm under; plus 4 cm if you're heavier than most people your height, minus 4 if lighter. Example: an intermediate skier 160 cm tall gets about 152 cm, so the 154. We carry 154 and 162 cm.
Faction rates the Agent 1 for intermediate and advanced skiers. It's light, but Faction built it for skiers who put downhill performance and durability ahead of saving the last few grams.
Touring and light all-mountain. Faction made it for ski touring in variable snow, less often powder; its ratings are all-mountain / carving 7/10, freeride / powder 3/10 and park 3/10. At 86 mm it's wider than the 66–80 mm we suggest for mostly groomed Ontario runs.
Faction builds it for touring, but gives it traditional camber underfoot for edge hold, XL 2.5 mm edges (thicker than the 2 mm industry average), full-strength sidewalls and a full carbon weave for torsional stiffness without extra weight.
À propos
Agent 1
The Faction Agent 1 is the narrowest ski in Faction's Agent freetouring series: an 86 mm light all-mountain and touring ski for climbing up and skiing down away from the crowds. Faction rates it for intermediate and advanced skiers and lists its terrain as touring.
Faction gives it a modern tip that rises above the snow and starts turns easily, and a stiffer tail for a strong finish. It suits touring in variable snow more than deep powder, for skiers who put downhill performance and durability ahead of saving every gram.

Questions
Posées en magasin, réponses de nos ajusteurs
What length should I get?
Our Find my length tool starts from your height: intermediates about 8 cm under their height and advanced skiers about 3 cm under; plus 4 cm if you're heavier than most people your height, minus 4 if lighter. Example: an intermediate skier 160 cm tall gets about 152 cm, so the 154. We carry 154 and 162 cm.
Is this ski right for my level?
Faction rates the Agent 1 for intermediate and advanced skiers. It's light, but Faction built it for skiers who put downhill performance and durability ahead of saving the last few grams.
Is it for groomers, all-mountain or powder?
Touring and light all-mountain. Faction made it for ski touring in variable snow, less often powder; its ratings are all-mountain / carving 7/10, freeride / powder 3/10 and park 3/10. At 86 mm it's wider than the 66–80 mm we suggest for mostly groomed Ontario runs.
Will it hold an edge on icy Ontario groomers?
Faction builds it for touring, but gives it traditional camber underfoot for edge hold, XL 2.5 mm edges (thicker than the 2 mm industry average), full-strength sidewalls and a full carbon weave for torsional stiffness without extra weight.
Does it come with bindings?
No, it's sold flat (ski only), so you choose the binding. Pick one whose brake is at least as wide as the 86 mm waist.
Will my boots fit? What does GW mean?
That depends on the binding you add. For GripWalk boots, choose a binding marked GW (GripWalk-compatible); standard alpine boots fit any alpine binding.
What's its turn radius?
Faction gives a 13 m turn radius at 154 cm and 15 m at 162 cm. Its elliptical sidecut makes turns easy to start.
Is it stiff or soft?
Faction rates the flex 7 out of 10. Its Mustache Flex is stable underfoot for edge hold and smoother in the tips and tails to soak up bumps. Faction also gives it a stiffer tail that supports a strong finish to the turn.
Can you mount bindings on them? Do I need my boots?
Yes, when you buy bindings with them: mounting is then free and the same day at Richmond Hill and Ottawa. We set the bindings to your boots, so bring yours or buy boots with the skis; you check and sign off on the setup in store. Skis we ship go out unmounted.
Where should the bindings go? Can I put touring bindings on it?
Faction says the Agent skis work with a pin touring binding, a hybrid or a full alpine binding. It gives a Progressive mount point for this ski, with a 4.1 x 9 mm drill size.
What warranty does it have?
Faction gives a two-year warranty on this ski. If something goes wrong, contact us with your order details.
