Ajusteurs BorderlineOur Find my length tool starts from your height: intermediates about 8 cm under their height and experts about 2 cm over; plus 4 cm if you're heavier than most people your height, minus 4 if lighter. Example: an intermediate skier 170 cm tall gets about 162 cm, so the 159. We carry 153, 159, 166 and 173 cm.
Faction rates it for intermediate, advanced and expert skiers who want to ski fast but under control. It's Faction's approachable Dancer: no metal, a lighter poplar core that takes less energy, and forgiving across a broad speed range.
Mostly groomed runs. Faction lists its terrain as piste and made it for skiers on the piste almost all the time, with room to explore; its ratings are all-mountain / carving 8/10, freeride / powder 5/10 and park 2/10. At 89 mm it's wider than the 66–80 mm we suggest for mostly groomed Ontario runs.
Faction pairs tip and tail rocker with traditional camber underfoot for edge hold, with XL 2.5 mm edges and full-strength sidewalls. It has no Titanal, so it's lighter and takes less energy than Faction's metal Dancer Ti models.

About the series
Seek freedom and a sense of play. The Dancer Series brings the signature Dancer feel—precision, energy and smoothness—into a more accessible build. Built around a simpler, yet responsive poplar wood core, these skis are lighter underfoot, easier to pivot, and more forgiving through variable snow. These skis eliminate Titanal in favor of a more maneuverable feel that requires less energy to control, perfect for skiers seeking versatility across the full spectrum of conditions. They're ideal for intermediate-advanced skiers who want quick turn initiation, reduced fatigue on long days, and a lively, forgiving ride that still performs when pushed at a variety of speeds. Built in Austria using recycled materials and 100% renewable energy.

Questions
Posées en magasin, réponses de nos ajusteurs
What length should I get?
Our Find my length tool starts from your height: intermediates about 8 cm under their height and experts about 2 cm over; plus 4 cm if you're heavier than most people your height, minus 4 if lighter. Example: an intermediate skier 170 cm tall gets about 162 cm, so the 159. We carry 153, 159, 166 and 173 cm.
Is this ski right for my level?
Faction rates it for intermediate, advanced and expert skiers who want to ski fast but under control. It's Faction's approachable Dancer: no metal, a lighter poplar core that takes less energy, and forgiving across a broad speed range.
Is it for groomers, all-mountain or powder?
Mostly groomed runs. Faction lists its terrain as piste and made it for skiers on the piste almost all the time, with room to explore; its ratings are all-mountain / carving 8/10, freeride / powder 5/10 and park 2/10. At 89 mm it's wider than the 66–80 mm we suggest for mostly groomed Ontario runs.
Will it hold an edge on icy Ontario groomers?
Faction pairs tip and tail rocker with traditional camber underfoot for edge hold, with XL 2.5 mm edges and full-strength sidewalls. It has no Titanal, so it's lighter and takes less energy than Faction's metal Dancer Ti models.
Does it come with bindings?
Yes. SYS means Faction sells it as a system: Salomon Strive 11 GW bindings come with it in a separate box, plus tip protectors for extra durability. They aren't mounted at the factory; we mount them in store.
Will my boots fit the bindings? What does GW mean?
Yes. The Salomon Strive 11 GW takes both standard alpine and GripWalk boot soles, and its DIN goes up to 11. GW means GripWalk: a rockered, rubber-treaded sole that makes walking easier.
What's its turn radius?
The turn radius grows with length: 13 m at 153 cm, 14 m at 159, 15 m at 166 and 17 m at 173 cm.
What do 89 and SYS mean?
89 is the waist width in mm (126/89/115). SYS means it's sold as a system with bindings, here Salomon Strive 11 GW. There's no Ti in the name, so this Dancer has no metal; Faction's Dancer 89 Ti adds two sheets of Titanal.
Is it stiff or soft?
Faction rates the flex 7 out of 10. Its Mustache Flex is stable underfoot for edge hold and smoother in the tips and tails to soak up bumps.
Do you mount the bindings? Do I need to bring my boots?
Yes, free and the same day at Richmond Hill and Ottawa: the bindings arrive in their own box, not mounted at the factory. We set them to your boots, so bring yours or buy boots with the skis; you check and sign off on the setup in store. Skis we ship go out unmounted, with the bindings boxed.
Does it have rocker or camber?
Tip and tail rocker with traditional camber underfoot (about 3 mm, per Faction's spec sheet), for edge hold, easy turn starts and float in soft snow.
What warranty does it have?
Faction gives a two-year warranty on this ski. If something goes wrong, contact us with your order details.
