Questions fréquentes
Ajusteurs BorderlineOur Find my length tool starts from your height: intermediates about 8 cm under their height and experts about 2 cm over; plus 4 cm if you're heavier than most people your height, minus 4 if lighter; minus 5 more if you mostly ski the park. Example: an intermediate skier 170 cm tall who mostly skis the park gets about 157 cm, so the 158. We carry 158, 164 and 171 cm.
It's for intermediate to expert skiers who like park and pipe, switch skiing and tricks.
Park and pipe first. It's an 88 mm twin tip that Faction rates 9/10 for park / freestyle and 7/10 for all-mountain / carving, so it also works around the resort. 88 mm is wider than the 66–80 mm we suggest for mostly groomed Ontario runs.
It's built for firm, groomed park snow: camber underfoot gives quick edge grip, and 2.5 mm XL edges with full-strength sidewalls stand up to rails.

Prodigy 1 GU
The Faction Prodigy 1 Gu (2026/27) is Eileen Gu's limited-edition signature ski: an 88 mm-waist all-mountain twin tip for intermediate to expert park and pipe skiers, available in 158, 164 and 171 cm.
The Prodigy 1 Gu uses a poplar and ash core with Faction's Mustache Flex, rated 7/10, so the tips stay soft for presses while the middle supports landings. Tip and tail rocker with traditional camber underfoot gives quick edge grip on hard park snow and easy pivots. XL 2.5 mm edges and full-strength sidewalls are built for rails and boxes, and the 120 / 88 / 112 mm shape runs a narrower tail than tip for cleaner turns down the hill. Turn radius is 13 m at 158 cm, 15 m at 164 cm and 17 m at 171 cm.
Limited-edition topsheet artwork by Ian McMullen.
Good for
- Halfpipe and slopestyle laps on firm, groomed park snow
- Progressing spins, switch skiing and rail tricks
- Lighter freeskiers who want a narrow, quick twin tip for the whole resort
Is the Prodigy 1 Gu the same ski as the Prodigy 1? It shares the Prodigy 1's 120 / 88 / 112 mm shape and poplar/ash core; Faction lists the Gu edition without the carbon and rubber stomp pad and with Eileen Gu's limited-edition artwork.

Questions
Posées en magasin, réponses de nos ajusteurs
What length should I get?
Our Find my length tool starts from your height: intermediates about 8 cm under their height and experts about 2 cm over; plus 4 cm if you're heavier than most people your height, minus 4 if lighter; minus 5 more if you mostly ski the park. Example: an intermediate skier 170 cm tall who mostly skis the park gets about 157 cm, so the 158. We carry 158, 164 and 171 cm.
Is this ski right for my level?
It's for intermediate to expert skiers who like park and pipe, switch skiing and tricks.
Is it for groomers, all-mountain or powder?
Park and pipe first. It's an 88 mm twin tip that Faction rates 9/10 for park / freestyle and 7/10 for all-mountain / carving, so it also works around the resort. 88 mm is wider than the 66–80 mm we suggest for mostly groomed Ontario runs.
Will it hold an edge on icy Ontario groomers?
It's built for firm, groomed park snow: camber underfoot gives quick edge grip, and 2.5 mm XL edges with full-strength sidewalls stand up to rails.
Does it come with bindings?
No, it's sold flat (ski only), so you choose the binding. Pick one whose brake is at least as wide as the 88 mm waist.
Will my boots fit? What does GW mean?
That depends on the binding you add. For GripWalk boots, choose a binding marked GW (GripWalk-compatible); standard alpine boots fit any alpine binding.
What do GU and 1 mean?
GU is Eileen Gu's limited-edition signature version of the Prodigy 1: the same 120/88/112 mm shape and core, with her artwork and without the stomp pad. The 1 is Faction's model number, not the width; the waist is 88 mm.
Is it stiff or soft?
Faction rates the flex 7 out of 10. Its Mustache Flex keeps the tips soft for presses while the middle supports landings.
Can you mount bindings on them? Do I need my boots?
Yes, when you buy bindings with them: mounting is then free and the same day at Richmond Hill and Ottawa. We set the bindings to your boots, so bring yours or buy boots with the skis; you check and sign off on the setup in store. Skis we ship go out unmounted.
Does it have rocker or camber?
Tip and tail rocker with traditional camber underfoot, for quick edge grip on hard park snow and easy pivots.
Where should the bindings be mounted?
Faction gives a Progressive mount point for it, with a 4.1 x 9 mm drill size.
What warranty does it have?
Faction gives a two-year warranty on this ski. If something goes wrong, contact us with your order details.
