Questions & answers

What fuel does it use?

8 oz (227 g) butane cartridges, one per burner.

How much heat?

About 15,700 BTU per burner with piezo ignition: one litre boils in about 2 minutes, and two pans cook at once.

How big is it packed?

Folds to 27 × 21.5 × 13 cm, 2.5 kg, with a carry bag: a lunchbox, not a suitcase.

Does it work in wind?

Add the Fire Maple windshield for an open site, or pick a sheltered spot.

How does it compare with a classic propane two-burner?

A classic propane camp stove is heavier and bulkier and needs propane bottles. This is half the weight, folds to a quarter of the size and runs on butane cartridges you can buy at any hardware or Asian grocery store. Stainless top instead of painted steel.
