QST Jr XS + C5 GW
First skis. 70 to 90 cm with the C5 GW binding, which can be set very low, which is exactly right for a beginner who needs the ski to release easily.
Size to somewhere between chin and nose height — short skis are easier to turn and less intimidating, and a child will grow into the next pair soon enough.

Will my child's boots fit the bindings? What does GW mean?
The C5 GW takes junior and adult alpine and GripWalk boot soles. GW means GripWalk: a rockered, rubber-treaded sole that makes walking easier.
What do QST, Jr, XS and C5 GW mean?
QST is Salomon's freeride family and Jr marks the junior version. XS is the size band: 70 to 90 cm (the S runs 100–120 and the M 130–150). C5 GW is the junior binding: DIN 0.75–4.5, GripWalk-compatible.
Do you mount the bindings? Do I need to bring the boots?
Yes, free and the same day at Richmond Hill and Ottawa. We set the bindings to your child's boots, so bring them or buy boots with the skis; you check and sign off on the setup in store. Skis we ship go out unmounted.
Does it have rocker or camber?
Salomon's All Terrain Rocker 2.0: a little tip rocker (5%), no tail rocker, camber underfoot.
What warranty does it have?
It's covered by Borderline Outdoor's 1-year warranty. If something goes wrong, contact us with your order details.
