Snow Peak Takibi Tarp Hexa Set M Ivory (2026)

The Takibi Tarp Hexa Set M is the version of a hexa tarp you can put a fire under. The ivory outer is a 210D polyester oxford rated to 1,800 mm, and the flame-resistant inner roof clips beneath it to take the sparks — which is the whole reason the set exists, because a bare tarp over a fire pit is how tarps get holes. Run the outer alone in fair weather and add the inner roof only on fire nights.

The tarp body is 475 × 420 cm and covers roughly four people around a fire. The hexa cut sheds wind from any direction, which is why it stays up on exposed sites where a square tarp flogs itself apart. It packs to 80 × 18 × 23 cm and weighs 8.8 kg complete — a two-hand carry, not a backpacking item.

Using it over a fire

• Pitch it on the full-height poles. Snow Peak specifies the 280 cm and 240 cm poles whenever there is a fire underneath — shorter poles bring the flame too close to the inner roof
• Flame-resistant is not fireproof. Never leave a fire unattended under any tarp

Care

• Dry the tarp fully before packing — stored damp, the coating delaminates and mildews
• Brush ash and embers off the inner roof rather than washing it
