Borderline Outdoor mounts bindings free with any skis or snowboard you buy from us, and boot fitting is free with boots. Our three Ontario stores in Richmond Hill, Newmarket and Ottawa also handle store pickup in 1 hour and returns within 14 days. Here is what each service covers.

Binding mounting and DIN setting

Bindings are mounted free with any skis or snowboard bought from Borderline Outdoor. Order the skis with bindings online, choose store pickup, and bring your boots; we mount the bindings and set them to your boots before you collect them.

• Skis: a technician sets the boot sole length and the DIN release value from your height, weight, age, level and boot sole length.
• Boot check: we confirm your boot sole (alpine, GripWalk or touring) works with the binding before mounting.

Snowboard stance set-up

We set up snowboard bindings free with any board you buy from us. A technician sets your stance width, your binding angles and the strap or BOA fit to your boots. Regular or goofy, duck stance or forward stance: tell us how you ride and we set it before pickup.

Boot fitting

Boot fitting is free with ski or snowboard boots you buy from us. It includes Mondo measuring, a shell check, heat-moulded liners where the boot allows it, footbeds and a binding check. How boot fitting works.

Helmet and goggle fitting

Try helmets on with your own goggles in any store. A fitter checks the helmet fits snugly all round and that the goggles meet the helmet with no gap at the forehead. Use Find my helmet size before you come.

Waxing and tuning

Ask your store about waxing and tune-ups when you buy skis or a snowboard. To look after your own gear between visits, we stock wax, scrapers and tuning kits in our waxing and tuning collection.

Store pickup in 1 hour

Choose Pick up in store at checkout. In-stock items are ready in 1 hour during store hours at Richmond Hill, Newmarket or Ottawa, and pickup is free. Pickup questions.

Returns at any store

Return or exchange unused items within 14 days at any of our three stores, whether you bought online or in store. Returns on snow apparel are free. Return questions.

Do I need to bring my boots for mounting?

Yes. Ski bindings are set to your boot sole length, and snowboard straps are adjusted to your boots, so bring the boots you will ride in.

Is boot fitting free?

Yes, with ski or snowboard boots you buy from us. Walk in during store hours or call the store first on weekends.
