Marque française de vêtements de neige écoconçus, certifiée B Corp depuis 2019.
Picture was founded in 2008 in France by three friends, Julien, Jérémy and Vincent, and still works from offices near Clermont-Ferrand and in Annecy. It calls its clothing eco-designed: recycled polyester from the start, repair centres since 2008 and B Corp certification since November 2019. Its jackets are made mainly in Turkey and China, with laminating in Taiwan, across 22 factories.
Most Picture 26/27 styles use The CIRCULAR, a polyester made from about 60% factory offcuts and 40% used polyester garments, broken down and re-polymerised; the GORE-TEX styles use 100% recycled polyester. The water repellency is PFC-free, Teflon EcoElite on the Dryplay styles, and many pieces carry GRS and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 labels.
The Merassen jacket, Object pants and women’s Gravita use a GORE-TEX ePE membrane; Picture rates the Merassen and Object at 28,000 mm waterproof and 28,000 g breathable. The other styles use Picture’s Dryplay membranes at 20K/20K (Object jacket, Exa, Zoya, Akna) or 10K/10K (Luma, Nitric, Puffer, Brita). Merassen, Object, Exa and Akna are fully taped; Luma, Zoya, Puffer and Brita are taped at the critical seams.
