The Maxx offers the most innovative Junior ski design available thanks to Elan's patented U-Flex technology, which allows kids to fully flex the ski, helping accelerate the learning process.
Providing the right amount of flex in the junior ski range was one of the major challenges we’ve faced in recent years. Our award winning U-Flex technology is the solution. The revolutionary construction of the ski increases the flex of the ski by 25 percent. It is a perfect kid's ski set in combination with specially designed ski boots made of softer, more flexible plastics. These skis enable easier learning and a quick transition to the edges. The Maxx comes in vibrant colors and graphics that will especially appeal to boys.

What length should I get?

Use Elan's size chart, which goes by your child's height: 70–85 cm tall takes the 70 cm ski, 80–95 cm the 80, 90–105 cm the 90, and so on up to 130–145 cm for the 130. We carry 70 to 130 cm.

Is this ski right for my child's level?

It's made for kids who are learning and progressing. Elan's U-Flex build is about 25% more flexible, so young skiers can bend the ski and get on their edges from day one.

Where is it meant to be skied?

On groomed runs while kids learn. Elan says it helps them learn to carve from day one and progress toward skiing all over the mountain.

Does it come with bindings?

Yes. It comes with an Elan junior binding, the EL 4.5 GW or the EL 7.5 GW, on Elan's Junior Shift system.

Is the Maxx for boys?

Any child can ski it. The Sky and the Maxx are the same Elan junior ski (same U-Flex build, shape and lengths); Elan just gives the Sky graphics aimed at girls and the Maxx graphics aimed at boys.

Is it soft enough for a light child?

Yes, it's soft. Elan's U-Flex construction makes it about 25% more flexible, so light young skiers can bend it.

Do you mount the bindings? Do I need to bring the boots?

Yes, free and the same day at Richmond Hill and Ottawa. We set the bindings to your child's boots, so bring them or buy boots with the skis; you check and sign off on the setup in store. Skis we ship go out unmounted.

Does it have rocker or camber?

It has Elan's Early Rise Rocker: a gently raised tip that Elan says makes turns smooth and effortless.

What warranty does it have?

Elan gives a 2-year warranty on this ski. If something goes wrong, contact us with your order details.
