Questions
Posées en magasin, réponses de nos ajusteurs
What length should I get?
Use Elan's size chart, which goes by your child's height: 70–85 cm tall takes the 70 cm ski, 80–95 cm the 80, 90–105 cm the 90, and so on up to 150–165 cm for the 150. We carry 70 to 150 cm.
Is this ski right for my child's level?
It's made for kids who are learning and progressing. Elan's U-Flex build is about 25% more flexible, so young skiers can bend the ski and get on their edges from day one.
Where is it meant to be skied?
On groomed runs while kids learn. Elan says it helps them learn to carve from day one and progress toward skiing all over the mountain.
Does it come with bindings?
Yes. It comes with an Elan junior binding on Elan's Junior Shift system.
Is the Starr for girls?
Any child can ski it. The Starr shares Elan's U-Flex junior build, shape and lengths with the Sky and Maxx; Elan says the Starr's design is one girls especially will love.
Is it soft enough for a light child?
Yes, it's soft. Elan's U-Flex construction makes it about 25% more flexible, so light young skiers can bend it.
Do you mount the bindings? Do I need to bring the boots?
Yes, free and the same day at Richmond Hill and Ottawa. We set the bindings to your child's boots, so bring them or buy boots with the skis; you check and sign off on the setup in store. Skis we ship go out unmounted.
Does it have rocker or camber?
It has Elan's Early Rise Rocker: a gently raised tip that Elan says makes turns smooth and effortless.
What warranty does it have?
Elan gives a 2-year warranty on this ski. If something goes wrong, contact us with your order details.
