Naturehike Cicada Wing CW700 Down Envelope Sleeping Bag - With Hood (2026)

Regular price $249.99 CAD Sale price $199.99 CAD

Description

Features

A hooded down envelope bag for late fall and early winter: 700 g of 650-fill duck down, comfort −1.7 °C, with the room of a rectangular bag and the warmth of a hood. For people who cannot sleep in a mummy.

Key facts

  • Comfort −1.7 °C, limit −7.9 °C, extreme −26.2 °C
  • 650FP duck down, 700 g fill; 20D nylon shell
  • M 1.07 kg, L 1.31 kg
  • Envelope cut with hood; three-season into early winter

Why this one

  • Turn over, sleep on your side, throw the hood back: none of that in a mummy.
  • Same fill weight as the Snow Petrel SP700, with more room to move.
  • Down at this rating usually costs far more.

Good to know

Spot-clean, use a liner, wash rarely with down detergent. Below 0 °C pair it with an insulated pad; the bag cannot insulate what you crush under you.

FAQ

Questions & answers

How cold can I take it?

Comfort −1.7 °C, limit −7.9 °C. That is late October and November camping in Ontario, and early winter with a good pad and a liner. Not a deep-winter bag.

Why an envelope shape with a hood?

The rectangular cut gives you room to turn and sleep on your side; the hood closes the heat leak that normally makes envelope bags colder than mummies. It is the bag for people who cannot sleep in a mummy but need real warmth.

Which size?

Two lengths: M (1.07 kg, Grey) for most adults and L (1.31 kg, Black) for taller sleepers.

How do I wash it?

Spot-clean as a rule, and use a liner to keep the inside clean. It is not machine washable: wash rarely, with down detergent.

How does it compare with the Snow Petrel SP700?

Same 700 g of 650FP down. The SP700 is a mummy: it packs a little smaller (Ø19 × 40 cm) and is rated warmer (comfort −7.3 °C against −1.7 °C) because there is less air to heat. The CW700 trades that for room to move and a hood you can throw back. Side sleepers and restless sleepers: CW700. Colder nights: SP700.
