The fly is 35% cotton, 65% polyester. Polycotton breathes, so there is far less condensation inside, it stays cooler in sun and quieter in wind, and it feels warmer on cold nights than a thin polyester tent. The trade-off is weight and drying time.

Yes for normal rain. The fly is rated 1,500 mm and the floor 4,000 mm; polycotton also swells when wet and seals its own weave. Pitch it taut and give it a dry day before packing, because cotton must be stored dry.

About 18 kg (40 lb) in a 78 x 35 x 35 cm bag. It rolls into a trunk easily, but it is a two-hand carry from the parking lot: this is a car camping and glamping tent, not a hiking tent.
