The hook is the part you will use most

Pulling a peg out by hand is where knuckles get hurt. The steel hook on the tail slips under a peg's head and lifts it straight out, so you are not levering the head of the hammer against your tent fabric.

Steel head, aluminium handle

A carbon steel head with a flat face for driving and a claw for pulling, plus a wrist strap so a mis-swing does not send it into the grass. The aluminium shaft keeps the tool light enough to live in the tent bag permanently.
