Groomers first, with room to explore. Elan's narrower all-resort footprint saves energy for all-day skiing, and its terrain chart sits at the groomed end. Its 78–80 mm waist is in the 66–80 mm range we suggest for mostly groomed Ontario runs.
Elan's PowerLine build puts carbon reinforcement along the cambered inside edge of its Amphibio profile for stronger edge grip, and the RST racing sidewall adds edge hold from tip to tail. There's no metal layer.

What length should I get?

Does it come with bindings?
Yes. It comes with Elan's EL 10.0 GW binding in black / red (DIN 3–10, 78 mm brake) on Elan's Shift X system.
Will my boots fit the bindings? What does GW mean?
The EL 10.0 GW takes standard alpine and GripWalk boot soles. GW means GripWalk: a rockered, rubber-treaded sole that makes walking easier.
Is it a short-turn or long-turn ski?
Short turns for an all-resort ski. Its turn radius is 10.8 m at 152 cm, 12.4 m at 160, 13.0 m at 168 and 14.4 m at 174 cm, on the tight side for each length.
What do 78 and C mean?
78 is close to the waist width: Elan lists 127/79/110 mm. C means carbon reinforcement rather than a titanal (metal) layer, which keeps it light. EL 10.0 GW is the binding, with DIN up to 10.
Is it a men's ski?
Elan makes the Wingman as its men's all-resort line; the women's line is the Wildcat. Anyone can ski it if the length fits.
Do you mount the bindings? Do I need to bring my boots?
Yes, free and the same day at Richmond Hill and Ottawa. We set the bindings to your boots, so bring yours or buy boots with the skis; you check and sign off on the setup in store. Skis we ship go out unmounted.
Is this the current model?
It's Elan's 25/26 Wingman 78 C, last season's model. Elan's 26/27 Wingman 78 C is a different ski (Early Rise Rocker, Dual Woodcore); the 26/27 Wingman 80 C keeps nearly this shape and the Amphibio build.
What warranty does it have?
Elan gives a 2-year warranty on this ski. If something goes wrong, contact us with your order details.
