Kästle, fitted and set up at Richmond Hill and Ottawa since 2026
Which Kästle is for you
Piste and race carvers sold as sets with the K12 TRI GW binding. The RX12 SL is the top slalom carver at 68 mm underfoot; the new RX9 is a more forgiving 72 mm ski with a damping core.
Kästle’s KP 2.0 boots close with RYF, a reel-and-cable system that reopens and returns to your saved tension. The K130P and K110P are built on a 96 mm last for narrow feet; the women’s K105 Terra is 101 mm.
From Kästle’s women’s TERRA range: the Quartz 72 is a piste ski, 72 mm underfoot, with titanal and a synthetic damper in the core. Ours are 2022/23 models.
The carbon Piste CA100, the retro Legendary CA with its eagle basket, and the three-piece adjustable Mountaineer Tri for touring.
Kästle RX9 Premium + K12 TRI GW
New for 26/27, it is 72 mm underfoot with a 12.6 m radius and titanal over a damping core, so it stays calm and grips on hard Ontario snow. It is more forgiving than the RX12 SL, which makes it the Kästle most skiers here should start with.

See the ski
Anton Kästle founded the company in 1924 in Hohenems, in Austria’s Vorarlberg, building skis from ash. Kästle skis won gold at the 1950 World Championships in Aspen and three Olympic golds in Oslo in 1952, and in 1966 it introduced CPM, which it calls the start of sandwich construction. After years away the brand was relaunched in 2007; it returned to the World Cup in 2019, and Ilka Štuhec won the Cortina downhill on Kästle in 2023.
Hollowtech mills material out of the shovel, which Kästle says cuts tip vibration by up to 30%. The RX12 SL uses an Infini Core Race, poplar and beech with two layers of titanal; the RX9 and Quartz use a Symbio Core, titanal with a synthetic damper. Armoclad is a tough topsheet. In the boots, RYF (Remember Your Fit) is a reel-and-cable closure that returns to the tension you saved, with a customisable liner and GripWalk soles.
Kästle is still run from Hohenems, where its race department sits. The skis are built in an automated factory in Nové Město na Moravě, Czech Republic, with large solar arrays on site. Kästle says up to about 80% of its wood is sourced locally and its bases are more than 35% recycled. ConsilSport, a Czech company, has held a majority stake since 2018.

Questions
Asked in store, answered by our fitters
When will Kästle arrive?
Every Kästle model we carry is on pre-order until the shipment lands, and each product page shows its current pre-order status. Ask us if you need skis or boots by a certain date.
Which Kästle boot fits me?
The K130P and K110P are built on a 96 mm last for narrow feet; the women’s K105 Terra is 101 mm. All three use the RYF closure and a GripWalk sole. A fitter checks length, width and heel hold before you order.
What binding comes with the RX skis?
Both RX sets come with the K12 TRI GW binding, DIN 3.5 to 12, which takes alpine and GripWalk soles.
