Prodigy 1
The Faction Prodigy 1 is the 88 mm all-mountain twin tip in Faction's Prodigy freeski series, designed for precise handling in the park and on groomed runs. Faction rates it for intermediate to expert skiers and lists its terrain as park and pipe.
An elliptical sidecut makes turns easy to start at any speed, full-strength sidewalls hold the edge, and the 88 mm waist stays precise on hard-packed features. It suits skiers who want a ski that carves hard yet pivots and smears, and who like to butter, ski switch and work on tricks.

What length should I get?

Does it come with bindings?
No, it's sold flat (ski only), so you choose the binding. Pick one whose brake is at least as wide as the 88 mm waist.
Will my boots fit? What does GW mean?
That depends on the binding you add. For GripWalk boots, choose a binding marked GW (GripWalk-compatible); standard alpine boots fit any alpine binding.
Is it stiff or soft?
Faction rates the flex 7 out of 10. Its Mustache Flex is stable underfoot for edge hold and smoother in the tips and tails to soak up bumps.
Can you mount bindings on them? Do I need my boots?
Yes, when you buy bindings with them: mounting is then free and the same day at Richmond Hill and Ottawa. We set the bindings to your boots, so bring yours or buy boots with the skis; you check and sign off on the setup in store. Skis we ship go out unmounted.
Does it have rocker or camber?
Tip and tail rocker with traditional camber underfoot (about 3 mm, per Faction's spec sheet), for quick edge grip on hard park snow and easy pivots and smears.
Is this the current model?
Yes. It's the 26/27 Prodigy 1: new 'CHASM' artwork by Parade Studio on the same construction as before (poplar and ash core, carbon and rubber stomp pad).
Where should the bindings be mounted?
Faction gives a Progressive mount point for it, with a 4.1 x 9 mm drill size.
What warranty does it have?
Faction gives a two-year warranty on this ski. If something goes wrong, contact us with your order details.
