Studio 1
The Faction Studio 1 is the 90 mm terrain-park ski in Faction's premium Studio series, developed with Faction's athletes for precise, stylish trick skiing. Faction rates it for advanced and expert skiers and lists its terrain as park and pipe.
Faction pitches it at park skiers who want clean trick execution, balancing light handling with stiffness, with a symmetrical shape for smooth switch skiing and a 7 mm XL sidewall that holds an edge and protects the core.

What length should I get?

Does it come with bindings?
No, it's sold flat (ski only), so you choose the binding. Pick one whose brake is at least as wide as the 90 mm waist.
Will my boots fit? What does GW mean?
That depends on the binding you add. For GripWalk boots, choose a binding marked GW (GripWalk-compatible); standard alpine boots fit any alpine binding.
What does Studio 1 mean?
Studio is Faction's premium ski series, running from high-level park skiing through all-mountain to competitive freeride; its XX artwork marks Faction's 20th anniversary. Faction says the higher the number, the wider the ski: the Studio 0 Pro is 83 mm for the halfpipe, the Studio 1 is 90 mm for the park, the Studio 2 is 102 mm.
Is it stiff or soft?
Faction rates the flex 7 out of 10 and pitches it as a stiffer ski, with carbon stringers for torsional strength without the bulk. Its Boat Flex has stiffer tips and tails that settle the ski and absorb landings, with a touch more flex underfoot so it loads up and pops.
Can you mount bindings on them? Do I need my boots?
Yes, when you buy bindings with them: mounting is then free and the same day at Richmond Hill and Ottawa. We set the bindings to your boots, so bring yours or buy boots with the skis; you check and sign off on the setup in store. Skis we ship go out unmounted.
Does it have rocker or camber?
Subtle tip and tail rocker with pronounced camber (about 3 mm, per Faction's spec sheet), and a symmetrical twin shape for smooth switch skiing. A carbon and rubber stomp pad under the binding absorbs heavy landings.
Where should the bindings be mounted?
Faction gives a Newschool mount point for it, with a 4.1 x 9 mm drill size.
What warranty does it have?
