Snow Peak Home & Camp Burner GS-600 (2026)

The Snow Peak Home & Camp Burner is a folding butane stove that works as well on a kitchen counter as it does at a campsite. It folds flat to 9 × 12 × 25.5 cm — roughly the footprint of a hardcover book — so it lives in a drawer instead of a gear bin, which is why it ends up getting used year-round rather than only on trips. The 2.4 kW burner takes pots from Ø14 to Ø30 cm, so a full family pot sits stable rather than perched.

How it sets up

• Four-step fold-out — the legs and trivet swing out from the body, so there are no separate parts to lose
• Auto-ignition and a continuously variable knob, so you can hold a low simmer rather than only high or off
• Stainless steel, aluminum alloy and brass build — the trivet stays flat through repeated heat cycles

Fuel and running time

• Runs about 110 minutes on one CB butane canister (GPC-250CB) at 20–25 °C
• CB butane canisters are sold in-store and at most outdoor retailers — they are not shipped online

Before you cook on it

• Do not use cast iron, ceramic or stone cookware. Snow Peak warns that radiant heat from these materials can cause the fuel canister to heat up unexpectedly.
• Not rated for Dutch ovens, for the same reason
• Let the unit cool fully before folding it away; wipe the trivet and drip tray rather than immersing them
