Double-wall, which matters more than the gram count
Single-wall shelters are lighter, but you sleep with the condensation on the same surface that
is keeping the rain out. Here the inner and the fly are separate: moisture collects on the
underside of the fly and runs down clear of the inner. On a cold, still night that is the
difference between a damp sleeping bag and a dry one.
It stands on its own
Aluminium poles mean you can pitch it on a wooden platform, on rock, or anywhere stakes will
not bite — then move the whole thing without taking it down.
