BCG is short for Ballistocardiogram, the name printed on its labels. The look comes first: bows and ribbons, rivets, gradients, moto and racing graphics, faux denim and a retro “old-money” streak. Two 26/27 pieces show the range. The Retro Moto 2-in-1 jacket wears a detachable cropped cape over a full shell, so it works more than one way; the Graffiti Blade pants pair racing graphics with a curved, wide leg. Women’s styles are cut slim, unisex styles loose.
Every BCG style is a 3-layer shell with fully taped seams: a polyester face and a nylon lining. BCG rates its 26/27 shells at 20,000 mm waterproof (JIS L1092) and 19,000 to 25,000 g/m²/24h breathable (JIS L1099). Most jackets have two pit zips, and every style has a powder skirt or gaiter. The 26/27 shells are not insulated, so the warmth comes from what you wear underneath: a base layer always, a mid-layer on cold days.
BCG’s own fit guide puts its M at 170–175 cm and 55–60 kg and its XL at 175–180 cm and 65–70 kg, so many riders here size up; garment measurements are on every product page. Its studio photos use a 171 cm model in an M. Care is strict: hand wash only, with no machine wash, tumble dry or iron.

Questions
Asked in store, answered by our fitters
Do BCG sizes run small?
Often, yes. BCG fits its M to 170–175 cm and 55–60 kg and its XL to 175–180 cm and 65–70 kg. Unisex styles are cut loose and women’s styles slim, so compare the garment measurements or try two sizes in store.
Are the BCG shells insulated?
The 26/27 shells are not: they are 3-layer waterproof shells with taped seams. Wear a mid-layer underneath on cold days; BCG also makes a fleece mid-layer and a helmet liner beanie.
How do I wash a BCG jacket?
By hand, as BCG’s care label says: no machine wash, no tumble dry, no iron. When water stops beading on the face, refresh it with a wash-in or spray-on proofer.
