Why trekking-pole tents weigh so little

Roughly a third of a conventional tent's weight is the pole set. This one borrows the poles you are already carrying, so the whole shelter — fly, inner, stakes, guylines — comes in under 900 g. The trade is that pitching takes a bit of practice and needs stakes that hold; on rock or loose sand you will want a couple of extras.

Four-season inner, not mesh

The four-season version swaps the mesh inner for solid 15D breathable nylon. Spindrift and wind-driven rain stop at the inner wall instead of blowing straight through it, which is the difference between a shoulder-season tent and a summer one.

Space

The inner is 230 × 80 cm — 2.07 m² — with a 0.8 m² vestibule for boots and a pack. Peak height is 125 cm, enough to sit up and cook in the doorway.
