Freeride skis sold flat and built light with CarbonDeck, carbon rods and carbon fibre for a damp ride. The Ripstick 102 is Amphibio-shaped and won Backline’s 2026 men’s touring award; the 84s add early rise.
Junior skis sold with bindings, including the Maxx and Sky with U-Flex: a softer flex matched to each length so light skiers can bend them.
Elan Wingman 80 C
Amphibio gives it a cambered inside edge for grip and a rockered outside edge for easy turn starts, and PowerLine puts carbon and titanal where Ontario ice asks for them. At 78–80 mm underfoot, Elan rates it from intermediate to expert, so it grows with you.

Photo: Jernej Leskovar / ElanElan was founded in September 1945 in Begunje, Slovenia, as a cooperative led by Rudi Finžgar, who had been hand-bending skis for partisans. Elan says it made the first screen-printed topsheets in 1963; Ingemar Stenmark won on its skis in the 1970s, and the SCX brought extreme sidecut in the 1990s. Elan still says every ski is handcrafted in the Slovenian Alps, and in 2018 it became the first ski brand with its own museum.
Amphibio makes each ski left- or right-specific: a cambered inside edge for grip and a rockered outside edge for easy turns. PowerLine biases carbon and titanal toward that inside edge. Ripstick skis use CarbonDeck, carbon rods and unidirectional carbon for a light, damp ride, with a slanted sidewall to save weight. Early Rise Rocker lifts the tip on the easier models, and U-Flex softens kids’ skis length by length.
Elan runs on 100% renewable electricity and says more than 70% of a ski’s mass is natural or recycled material. Its 26/27 skis have collected awards too: the Ripstick 102 we carry won Backline’s 2026 men’s touring award.

Questions
Asked in store, answered by our fitters
What is Amphibio?
Elan’s left- and right-specific ski shape: the inside edge of each ski is cambered for grip and the outside edge rockered for easy turns, so you get edge hold on hard snow without a ski that fights you.
What warranty does Elan give?
Elan covers its skis for two years against manufacturing defects (one year for rental skis). Claims go through the authorized dealer you bought from, with proof of purchase, for the original buyer only.
How long should my Elan skis be?
Elan’s product pages give a skier-height range for each length; the Ripstick 102 in 161 cm, for example, suits skiers 153–161 cm tall. A fitter adjusts that for your weight, ability and where you ski.
