What canister does it use?

Screw-thread isobutane canisters (100, 230 or 450 g). It screws directly onto the top; no hose, no legs.

How small is it really?

56 g, folds to Ø5.5 × 7.6 cm. It lives inside your cook pot with a lighter.

How big a pot can it hold?

Up to about 1.5 L. A wide pan on a canister-top stove tips; keep it to pots and small kettles.

Does it work in wind and cold?

It has a pressure regulator, which keeps the flame steadier as the canister cools; isobutane works well below the point where butane gives up. Shield it from wind and it boils a litre in about 4 minutes.

How does it compare with the FMS-X1 system?

This is the burner alone: bring your own pot and save weight. The FMS-X1 is the burner, heat-exchanger pot and lid as one fast, fuel-efficient unit. Ultralight and flexible: Torch. Fast boils for two: FMS-X1.
