Naturehike Snow Petrel Mummy Down Sleeping Bag (2026)

The Naturehike Snow Petrel is a mummy-shaped down sleeping bag for backpacking and cold-weather camping. It's built around 650FP duck down and a 20D down-proof nylon shell. Four fill levels — SP400, SP550, SP700 and SP1000 — cover comfort ratings from 3.8 °C down to −10.8 °C, so you can match warmth to the season without carrying more bag than you need. All four share one size, 205 × 80 cm.

Which fill level should you choose?

• SP400 — 400 g fill, comfort 3.8 °C, 0.86 kg. The lightest and most packable; summer nights and mild shoulder season.
• SP550 — 550 g fill, comfort −1.5 °C, 0.99 kg. Covers spring through autumn, so it's the best all-round pick if you only want one bag.
• SP700 — 700 g fill, comfort −7.3 °C, 1.32 kg. For late-autumn and early-winter trips.
• SP1000 — 1000 g fill, comfort −10.8 °C, 1.72 kg. The warmest in the range, for winter camping.

Down fill and construction

• C-shaped upper-body baffles hold the down around your torso instead of letting it shift to one side, so the warmth stays where you need it.
• 650FP duck down at 85% down content: higher fill power means more warmth per gram carried.
• The 20D shell and lining are down-proof and water-repellent, so they shed tent condensation and light dew — but the bag is not waterproof.
• YKK anti-pinch zipper — it won't snag the shell fabric when you open the bag from inside.

Care and packing

• Packs to Ø16 × 34 cm on the SP400 and Ø20 × 42 cm on the SP1000; compression sack included.
• Hand wash only. Do not bleach, tumble dry, iron or dry clean.
• Down loses loft if it is stored compressed, so keep the bag loose between trips rather than in the compression sack.
