Faction, fitted and set up at Richmond Hill and Ottawa since 2026
Which Faction is for you
Faction’s best-selling all-mountain and park twin tips, from the 85 mm Prodigy 0 to the 106 mm Prodigy 3 Capsule. Eileen Gu’s Prodigy 1 GU is built on the Prodigy 1, a park-and-pipe favourite.
Faction’s on-piste skis, sold as SYS packages with a Salomon binding, at 79, 89 and 99 mm underfoot. The Dancer 79 Ti adds two thin titanal sheets for grip on firm snow; the series is built in Austria.
Light freetouring skis with a karuba core and a full carbon weave, built to take pin, hybrid or alpine bindings: the 86 mm Agent 1 and the 106 mm Agent 3.
Premium park and pipe skis: symmetrical twin tips with carbon stringers and thick sidewalls. The Studio 0 Pro is the halfpipe ski, the Studio 1 the park ski and the Studio Grom FS the kids’ version.
Faction Dancer 79 Ti SYS
Faction rates it 9 out of 10 for carving: 79 mm underfoot, with two thin sheets of titanal for grip and calm on firm Ontario snow. It comes as a package with a Salomon binding, which we mount free and set to your boots, the same day, at Richmond Hill or Ottawa.

Photo: Matt Tufts / Faction SkisFaction was born in Verbier, Switzerland, in 2006, and 26/27 is its 20th season. It is not part of a big group: Full Stack Supply Co., the company behind it, is owned by the Faction Collective, hundreds of riders, alongside sister brands Phaenom and United Shapes. Faction is a Certified B Corp, and its factory runs on renewable electricity and biomass heat, with materials from nearby European suppliers.
Most Faction skis use Mustache Flex: firm underfoot, with softer tips and tails so turns start easily. The Studio park skis use Boat Flex, stiffer at the ends for pop and stable landings. Every model pairs tip and tail rocker with camber underfoot and an elliptical sidecut, adult skis get thick 2.5 mm edges, and the Prodigy 1 and 2 and the Studio skis add a carbon and rubber stomp pad to protect the core on rails.
Eileen Gu rides Faction. At the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, Faction riders won eight medals: Gu took halfpipe gold plus silver in big air and slopestyle, and the men’s big air podium was all Faction, with Tormod Frostad, Mac Forehand and Matej Svancer. Gu’s limited Prodigy 1 GU, with art by Ian McMullen, is built on the Prodigy 1.

Questions
Asked in store, answered by our fitters
What does SYS mean?
SYS is Faction’s system package: the ski comes with a matching Salomon binding. We mount it free, the same day, at Richmond Hill or Ottawa and set the release value for your weight, height and ability against your boots, so bring them or buy boots in the same order. Skis shipped without boots go out unmounted.
What length should I ride?
Faction sizes by your height and how you ski: Relaxed, Active or Aggressive. A 170–175 cm skier, for example, rides the Dancer 79 Ti in 166, 172 or 172 cm, and the Prodigy 1 in 171, 171 or 178 cm.
What does Faction’s warranty cover?
Two years from the original purchase against manufacturing defects, bought from an authorized seller with proof of purchase. Damage from park features, rocks or crashes and cosmetic wear are not covered; claims go through the store.
