A hooded rectangular cotton sleeping bag in two warmth levels: MS300 for September car camping and cottages, MS500 for October and cold sleepers. Machine washable, and two zip into a double.

Questions & answers

Which one for September in Ontario?

September nights: the MS300 (comfort 7.7 °C, limit 1 °C) on a proper pad. October, or if you sleep cold: the MS500 (comfort 3 °C).

Can two zip together?

Yes: one Gray (left zip) and one Green (right zip). Two of the same colour will not join.

Is it machine washable?

Yes, it is machine washable. Store it loose rather than compressed in the stuff sack, so the fill keeps its loft.

Will it fit a big guy?

220 × 80 cm with a square cut: long enough for a tall adult and roomy at the shoulders.

How does it compare with a down bag?

Down is lighter and packs smaller; this weighs 1.45 kg (MS300) or 2.15 kg (MS500) and rides in the trunk. In return you get a hood, a bag you throw in the washing machine, and two that zip into a double. For car camping and cottages it is the practical choice; for carrying, see the Cicada Wing CW400.
