Common questions
Borderline fittersOur Find my length tool starts from your height: intermediates about 8 cm under their height and advanced skiers about 3 cm under; plus 4 cm if you're heavier than most people your height, minus 4 if lighter. Example: an intermediate skier 170 cm tall gets about 162 cm, so the 161. We carry 151, 161 and 169 cm.
It's for intermediate and advanced skiers, per Salomon's level rating on our listing.
All-mountain. Salomon pitches it for carving groomed runs or weaving through tree-lined glades, in groomed and chopped-up snow. At 82 mm it's a little wider than the 66–80 mm we suggest for mostly groomed Ontario runs, which suits that mix.
Salomon's spec on our listing says its full sandwich sidewalls give stability, precision and good edge grip, and the full poplar wood core adds stability while filtering vibration.

Questions
Asked in store, answered by our fitters
What length should I get?
Our Find my length tool starts from your height: intermediates about 8 cm under their height and advanced skiers about 3 cm under; plus 4 cm if you're heavier than most people your height, minus 4 if lighter. Example: an intermediate skier 170 cm tall gets about 162 cm, so the 161. We carry 151, 161 and 169 cm.
Is this ski right for my level?
It's for intermediate and advanced skiers, per Salomon's level rating on our listing.
Is it for groomers, all-mountain or powder?
All-mountain. Salomon pitches it for carving groomed runs or weaving through tree-lined glades, in groomed and chopped-up snow. At 82 mm it's a little wider than the 66–80 mm we suggest for mostly groomed Ontario runs, which suits that mix.
Will it hold an edge on icy Ontario groomers?
Salomon's spec on our listing says its full sandwich sidewalls give stability, precision and good edge grip, and the full poplar wood core adds stability while filtering vibration.
Does it come with bindings?
No, it's sold flat (ski only), so you choose the binding. Pick one whose brake is at least as wide as the 82 mm waist.
Will my boots fit? What does GW mean?
That depends on the binding you add. For GripWalk boots, choose a binding marked GW (GripWalk-compatible); standard alpine boots fit any alpine binding.
What do Stance, Pro and 82 mean?
Stance is Salomon's all-mountain line and 82 is the waist width in mm (about 122/82/104). This is the women's model.
Is it a women's ski?
Salomon makes the Stance Pro 82 as a women's model. Skis aren't strictly men's or women's, though: length decides, and we carry 151, 161 and 169 cm.
Can you mount bindings on them? Do I need my boots?
Yes, when you buy bindings with them: mounting is then free and the same day at Richmond Hill and Ottawa. We set the bindings to your boots, so bring yours or buy boots with the skis; you check and sign off on the setup in store. Skis we ship go out unmounted.
Does it have rocker or camber?
It has Salomon's All-Mountain Profile: rocker in the tip and tail with camber underfoot.
Is this the current model?
It's the 2025 Stance Pro 82 W, last season's model.
What warranty does it have?
It's covered by Borderline Outdoor's 1-year warranty. If something goes wrong, contact us with your order details.
